Pavel leads DLA Piper’s Hospitality & Leisure sector work in Russia and the CIS. He consults major western and Russian companies on a broad range of commercial, general corporate issues, licensing, franchising, tax, tenders, dispute resolution and day-to-day activities.
 
Pavel is involved in projects with major international hotel chains and participates in structuring transactions, holding negotiations and drafting hotel management and related agreements. He has experience in representing both hotel owners and international hotel operators in negotiations of more than 50 deals over the past 12 years. Pavel’s recent experience also includes advising a Russian developer on negotiations with international operator on an “ultra-luxury” hotel and branded residencies project in Moscow.

Within this period she also gained precious experience as a Head of Project Department in Hafele company.

This book - the only one in Russia, telling how to open a small hotel and manage it.

Thomas has over 40 years of experience in the field of architectural and interior design and was involved in some of the most prestigious and high quality projects in the course of his career. After graduating from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London he worked at Richard Rogers Partnership before setting up his own architectural practice TNA Ltd which he run successfully in London for 15 years with the majority of projects in the private residential sector.
Thomas was invited to join “Aukett Swanke”  in 2008 and has been in leadership positions in Moscow studio of “Aukett Swanke”  since then. He was responsible for major projects including a 3,600-rooms hotel complex “ Azimut” in Imeretinskaya Lowland  for the Sochi Winter Olympic Games 2014, a reconstruction of the Kvartal No5 in Kitaj Gorod near Red Square in Moscow, Sinagoge “Zhukovka” near Moscow, luxury apart-hotel at 4 Prospect Vernadskogo in Moscow and a Resort complex Stella del Mare in Montenegro. He is bilingual and fluent in both English and Russian, has excellent communication skills and a considerable knowledge of Russian Building regulations.

Ekaterina gained hotel experience at the Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel, at Baltschug Kempinski Hotel, joined Carlson Rezidor in 2008. Ekaterina also obtained valuable experience as development manager in IHG for the period between 2011- 2012. After Ekaterina made a decision to come back to Carlson Rezidor at the position of project manager where she was promoted to Senior project manager.

Ekaterina Ilinskaya is a professional in sales, marketing and ecommerce with more than 10 years work experience in travel and hospitality business. Ekaterina joined Interstate hotel management company in August 2016 as Director of eCommerce in charge of Russia and CIS. She is responsible for ecommerce strategy and increase of online sales in hotels within the appointed regions. Before that she held position of Regional Director of Sales at international hotel chain Steigenberger Hotel Group and was responsible for sales and marketing on the territory of Russia and some CIS countries where contributed to brand awareness increase and new business acquisition for the hotels. Thanks to her background in Computer Science Ekaterina was always interested in applying new technologies in travel industry and got extensive knowledge in this sphere when worked for international and local travel tech companies, followed by experience in launch and business development of new projects in Russia and CIS for such international travel brands as Expedia, Royal Caribbean and others. She actively participates in e-travel industry events, performs presentations and shares her experience about specific of ecommerce strategy in travel and hospitality business.

Sergey Shpilko has been the President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (former Russian Association of Travel Agencies) since 1995.
 
RUTI is Russia’s largest union of tourism-related enterprises with over 1300 members working in travel, insurance, finance, transport, accommodation, legal and many other fields in Russia and beyond.
 
Mr. Shpiko was appointed the Chairman of the Moscow City Committee for Tourism and Hotel Industry in 2010. Following the reorganization of the Committee in 2015, he had been acting as the First Deputy of the Head of National Policy, Trans-Regional Relations, and Tourism Department in the Government of Moscow. In July 2016, he was transferred to the position of the Counselor to the Deputy Mayor of the Russian capital.
 
Sergey has been working in travel industry since 1993. As the RUTI President, he is a member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
 
Mr. Shpilko is the heart and soul of Russian tourism industry and an avid traveler himself. It is quite hard to think of a country he has not visited yet. Along the way, he loves collecting and sharing anecdotes and curious stories from his fellow travelers and colleagues.

Anna Sibirkina, was born in Yaroslavl, she graduated the Russian International Academy of Tourism with honors in 2005. She started her career in a travel company, where she was the head of the sales office and trained managers.
During 2 years she worked in the city administration of Yaroslavl. The main tasks successfully implemented by Anna were the development of the city's recreational opportunities, the presentation of tourist potential at international exhibitions, work with museums, hotels and travel companies.
Since 2014 Anna Sibirkina has been working in Moscow in the Travel Association "World without Borders", being the head of the program “China Friendly” that adapts service for Chinese tourists. Creating the first such program in the country, she actively studies international experience, builds strong partnerships and generously shares her knowledge and experience with market participants.
In December 2016, Anna Sibirkina became laureate of the Government of the Russian Federation prize in the field of tourism.

Stéphane Meyrat is an experienced hospitality consultant, who has been servicing a large array of international clients with extensive financial expertise in the development and performance assessment of leisure and hotel trading assets for over 12 years across Europe, the Balkans, Russia and the CIS countries. During this time, he has performed numerous market, feasibility studies and RICS compliant valuation reports. 
Mr Meyrat has taken-on several leadership roles for several years with reputed international real estate firms including TRI Hospitality, Colliers International and Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels before overtaking the direction of Bevelia Hospitality Group Ltd., a consultancy, which specialises in rendering hotel market, feasibility and valuation assignments to wide range of clients located primarily in Russia and CIS. He has advised many local and international clients in the realisation of their specific hotel development schemes involving business, vacation resort, leisure, conference, golf and spa hotels as well as theme park and territorial tourism master plans.
He is a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) and holds two masters degrees: an MBA in International Hospitality from the joint-programme between the ESSEC Business School, France and Cornell University, USA as well as a Master’s of Science (MSc) in Real Estate from Reading University, United Kingdom.

Managing company «Alliance Hotel Management» is rather new but steadily growing company. Founded in 2012 company currently manages 5 hotels: «Alliance Greenwood» (Moscow), «Triumph Hotel» (Obninsk), Aquamarine Hotel & SPA (Tuapse), «Admiral Hotel» (Saransk) and «ASIA» (Abakan) as well as restaurants which are situated in the Ski Resort «Sorochany».  
Also there are several hotel construction projects in Moscow and the Moscow Region, a hotel projects in Ulyanovsk, Togliatti, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as well as project of the hotel complex in Crimea, Penza, St. Petersburg, and four aparthotels in Saransk.

Sergey Egorov is responsible for growth and business development for both Wyndham Hotel Group and Resort Condominiums International across Russia and CIS.

Sergey, graduated Ph.D. in economics, and Master Degree in Hospitality. Sergey is working hotel business over 19 years; he has held several executive posts in the resort development and hotel management industry. He started out in the business working within the hotel development team for Absolute Development Corporation in Spain, Montenegro and Thailand and he has a wealth of experience in hotel operation and business development in Russia, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Outside of work, his hobbies are freediving and spearfishing in blue deep water. Being in the ocean, surrounded by the beauty of nature and completely concentrating on the task in hand is a wonderful feeling.

Steffen graduated from the Karlsruhe University/ Germany with a degree in engineering and building economics.
In 2003, Steffen Sendler joined Drees & Sommer group at its HQ in Stuttgart.
Drees & Sommer is Germany’s leading project management, engineering and consulting group with the activity sectors people, places and processes, project management, engineering, infrastructure and real estate consulting.
From 2005 he has been leading the Russian entity of the group with the target markets Russia and the CIS countries. With offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg, up to 200 employees implement projects all over Russia, within the CIS countries and on international level.
Since 2009 Steffen Sendler has been managing partner of Drees & Sommer.
 
Steffen’s key competences include strategic management, organization consulting, multi project management and development, construction and operation of objects and processes.
Steffen Sendler actively promotes innovations and sustainable solutions in real estate.
 
From 2017 Steffen is responsible partner for worldwide hospitality projects of the group.
His portfolio includes local Russian and international projects from budget- to high end hotels and resorts in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Alexey joined IHG team in March 2014 and is responsible for hotel development of all the hotel brands in Russia, CIS, Baltics and Scandinavia. Since joining IHG, Alexey helped to expand the portfolio of brands in Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, and Mongolia.
 
Prior to joining IHG, Alexey headed up the Moscow Consulting & Valuation practice of HVS Global Hospitality Services, where he specialized in strategic consulting, valuations and investment advisory across Russia, the CIS & Georgia. Alexey also worked for various hotel management companies within the hospitality industry across Europe, the US and Russia and served in such operational departments as Rooms Division, Revenue Management and Food & Beverage.
Alexey obtained BSc Economics and Finance from the University of London, as well as an MBA in Hotel Management from César Ritz, Switzerland.

Tatiana joined JLL in August 2015 to head up the Hotels & Hospitality Consulting in Russia & CIS. The region also includes Ukraine, Georgia and the Baltic Countries.
From 2007 Tatiana has been running hotel departments in the international consultancies. Prior to this she has been working for 10 years in hotels and restaurants management in Russia and the U.S. Tatiana has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotels and Restaurants Management from the Russian Academy of Economics n.a. Plekhanov. She started her hospitality career as an interpreter in Ukraina hotel in Moscow in 1998 (presently, Radisson Royal Ukraina), continuing to grow professionally in international hotel chains.
 
In 2000, Tatiana moved to U.S., where she received an MBA in International Business from the University of St. Thomas (Minneapolis). She returned to Russia in 2007, with a mission to establish an office of the international hotel valuation and consulting firm, HVS. Tatiana’s unique skillset combining the Russian and international experience, and operational and consulting expertise, gives her an ability to drive value for the clients in all situations.
 
Tatiana’s portfolio includes over $2,5bln of asset valuations, work as an exclusive consultant for many high-profile institutional and private investors, state banks, lending institutions, asset management companies and hotel brands. Tatiana oversaw the preparation and execution of hotel valuation seminars for many banking organizations, active lenders in the field of hotel development.

Prior to that, he worked in Grand Hotel Europe; for 13 years he worked in Germany in senior management positions with Lindner Hotels,

Keti Mikashavidze is head of Georgia & CIS regional branch of Spanish hotel management company “T3 Hospitality Management”. With extensive experience in hotel development in the region, Keti is responsible for business’ growth and acquisition of new projects. Before joining T3, she worked on Georgian regional mid-market hotel chain program and rolled out development plan of 12 hotels, totaling 600 rooms in all regions of Georgia. Her previous experience lays in the area of hotel procurement, whilst her operational experience comes from Courtyard by Marriott F&B department. Additionally, she gives a course of lectures in tourism in one of the leading Georgian business schools.
Keti is holding bachelors’ degree in Economics and Management from London School of Economics and Political Science and joint Master’s degree in Hospitality Management from Hotelschool The Hague and Erasmus University, Rotterdam

Elvira Tarasenko is an expert in hospitality business, sales & marketing with more than 20 years of practical experience. Elvira is the Global Sales Director in charge of Russia, Ukraine and CIS at the Preferred Hotels&Resorts. Elvira’s main focus in her role is strategic Sales & Marketing, Business Planning, Increase of Brand Awareness in the Market, Increase of Individual and Group Sales via the Preferred booking channels, Organization of Sales Missions, Road Shows. Before joining the Preferred Hotels&Resorts in April 2016 Elvira also had the senior management positions with the Interstate and GOST hotel management companies as well as was the head of the Representative Office of the Rocco Forte hotels in Russia, CIS&Baltics for more than 8 years.  Elvira has got a PhD in economics, and is an author of many articles and a couple of books on hotel business and marketing, as well as has been an invited lecturer at the ICN Business School Nancy, France, teaching luxury brand management and hospitality business for the master students for a few years in a  row. Elvira has been in cooperation with the Russian University of Plekhanov ( PRUE) for many years conducting master classes and giving lectures for the students as well as initiating different research projects. The last one was in conjunction with VIP Corporate Travel ( part of the biggest Russian business travel group of companies VIP Service), and was dedicated to the measurement of loyalty of corporate clients during the harsh economic times and turbulence.
